Open Science in the Changing Global System

The two-day workshop on “Open Science in the Changing Global System,” organised by the European Association of Research Managers and Administrators (EARMA) Open Science Thematic Group and sponsored by Digital Science, took place on 18-19 September 2024 in Brussels.

This report focuses on the first day, which centered around the theme of “Sovereignty, Security, and Open Science.” The discussions explored the balance between promoting openness in research and safeguarding research integrity and national interests amidst shifting geopolitical contexts.
